Lynn moved to Carolina Beach in 1971 from Concord NC.  He began his career on the Carolina Beach Boardwalk, working at the amusements at the age of 10 before joining Britt's Donut shop at the age of 14.  Lynn graduated from John T. Hoggard High School before earning his B.S. in Computer Science from UNCW, and a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Virginia.  Lynn  has enjoyed a successful career in Software Development and Information Technology, holding senior leadership roles with companies such as CARQUEST, Nomaco, AP Exhaust, and Fujitsu.  He is currently the Chief Information Officer for Atlantic Corporation in Wilmington. Lynn was elected to Town Council in 2019 and as Mayor in 2021.
