Bruce Oakley, Town Manager As the top administrator, Bruce has the responsibility for the daily operations of the town, including approximately 117 employees and a $25 million-dollar budget. He has over 15 years of practice administering municipal budgets in addition to his planning and development experience . Bruce has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Public Affairs, both from UNC Greensboro. Bruce is a native of Greensboro, NC, is married, has one daughter, and a rescued Jack Russel Terrier. In his free time, he enjoys running, exercising, and reading. |
Mission:
The mission of the Town Manager's Office is to provide professional leadership in the administration and execution of policies and objectives formulated by Town Council, and to develop and recommend alternative solutions to community problems for Council consideration. Our team of professionals provide support, guidance, communications and leadership to assure that quality municipal services meet the needs of all who visit, work, and live in Carolina Beach.
